Vertu has become the go to brand when it comes to luxury cellphones over the years. Originally founded by Nokia, the two brands split ways recently. Our biggest issue with the luxury smartphone market was in the past the use of their own below average operating systems. That is about to change with the launch of the Vertu TI, which is the first phone in the brand’s line-up to be powered by Android 4.0.
The phones is made of titanium and features a sapphire glass screen and leather back. It comes with 64GB internal memory, a 8 MP rear camera and a 1.3 MP front camera and can also produce HD video. Depending on the color and material combination, the phone is priced between 9’900 and 19’900 USD. The Vertu TI launched globally this month.

Supra NYC will be holding a book release event on Wednesday, February 13th, from 6 to 8 p.m., with author Michael Dupouy appearing in store to sign copies. In the book is 256 pages featuring profiles of the best in streetwear in 2012, as well as art from Scott Campbell, Wes Lang, Futura, KAWS, Barry McGee and the Andy Warhol Foundation. The book release takes place at Supra NYC on 4 Prince Street. Only 50 copies of the book will be available.
